When the.four.pm.station formed in 2003 it became clear that something would change the quiet countryside with its mainstream poled youth of utter boringness. It was time to introduce music that nobody was familiar with and when speaking in terms of an unknown style so far in the region of northern Germany, the first voices prevailed categorizing the.four.pm.station as a usual emo-folk that would definitely disappear during the next couple of month. How would you dare wearing your hair like the Beatles used to do back in the 1960's? - What would be your point in screaming lyrics? Why would you play your instrument as if it was the one and only thing you've done so far? The answer is just as simple as obvious: WE DON'T CARE!
During the next couple of month the.four.pm.station released a small compilation of badly recorded songs that has somehow established a good reputation amongst the hard- and metal core scene. In 2006 the.four.pm.station finally moved into a semi-professional studio in Emden/Germany to record their latest EP "Play, Mute, Repeat, End" in just 18 hours. It holds five tracks that vary from insane guitar riffs ŕ la The Fall of Troy till straight stories such as Alexisonfire. Nevertheless, Marcin Koczy(23) (Shouting, Bass), Hannes Nee(23) (Vocals, Guitar), Philipp Freerichs(23) (Guitar) and Gregor Lawrynowicz(18) (Drums) don't let themselves put into a box full of constraints…
"When we get up on stage we are kind of altered people. Everyone is just fixed on kicking asses. And so does the audience. Our shows may not be perfect, but honest - That's what the folks likes." (Michael, the.four.pm.station)
